The Speculations are true. Canadian rider Lucas Sander has just returned from the emergency meeting of SNAOTR, and the announcement of the end of SNAOTR has been made official.
This is a sad day for North American cycling. We tried and tried to repair the broken relationships of SNAOTR, but in the end, the splitting of SNAOTR was for the best.
Questions about how star rider Borislav Rumiantseva and Canadian Star Erskine Pettis would perform in the Volta prologue, on this controversial day with their 10th and 20th place finishes respectively.
In a quote from Trinity Manager Paul Ferguson, he says, "The end of the SNAOTR had to happen, to weed out those who did not belong so we could return stronger."
This is a sad day, but we must regroup tomorrow and go out and claim our First Tour stage victory.
The syndicate is still out there lurking and a statement must be made to them starting tomorrow. We will let them know that North America is still a force to be reckoned with.
Borislav and Erskine have both guaranteed stage wins tomorrow in memory of SNAOTR.
We have also changed our jersey to commemorate this sad day in cycling history. We went with an all black, and purple scheme, removing all traces of what once was SNAOTR.
With the entire team in Portugal, only Co-Captain Lucas Sander could be reached for a comment. He stated "Our team is looking to bring back the Green Jersey to the US, that is our main goal. SNAOTR may be down and out, but as always we will return stronger......and one more thing, Down With the Syndicate...."
